Farmacy Weekly Report 2023 Week #21

Your-Weekly-Foodie-Update-Week-21-Spray-Free-Farmacy

Happy Monday!

We're excited to announce we are extending our delivery zone further north to Ningi, just near Bribie Island. We've had so many requests to deliver to Bribie, so we've answered the call! If you know anyone that lives near Bribie Island, please let them know they can now get our fresh, spray-free food delivered!

Another frequent request we also get is for Office Fruit Boxes. This has never been something we could do as we don't usually deliver on Mondays. However we have decided to take the plunge and give this a go after hearing tales about the flavour-less fruit that is often offered in kitchen lunchrooms around town.

If you would like your workplace to provide the wonderful gift of delicious fruit to nourish your team, employees or customer, please check out our office fruit (and milk) boxes here. And help us spread the word so we can make this new addition viable. Thank you!

PRODUCE UPDATE 🍎

How delicious were those Oranges and Mandarins from Gayndah! We also enjoyed the bulk Royal Gala Apple seconds and could not work out why they were labelled as seconds (they were so good!).

If you are after another special this week, try the organic Kipfler Potatoes from Tasmania. These delicious little spuds are only $8.50kg this week. It's a great tasting waxy potato with a lower GI than many of the high starch varieties. What that means is that it won't raise your blood sugar levels too quickly and is therefore a better potato for people with diabetes. Not to mention an absolute favourite of ours to roast.

GROCERY UPDATE 🛒

We have some exciting new additions to the store this week - meat from the amazing Breen family at Echo Valley Farm! If you love their eggs, wait till you try their meat as you simply won't find better quality pork or beef.

Rotated on chemical-free pastures as part of a regenerative farming model, the pigs, cattle and chickens at Echo Valley Farm are all helping to create nutrient-dense soil that captures carbon from the atmosphere.

This is meat you can feel good about eating as it's not only nutrient-dense for your body, it's having an incredibly positive impact on the environment and supporting a family who are working their butts off to save the land for future generations.

This week we have their Pastured Bacon, Ham, Pork Sausages, Beef Sausages and Beef Mince. We'll have more meat for you next week including Sausages from Sherwood Road Organic Meats and hopefully some diced and BBQ steaks from Echo Valley and chicken from Inglewood Farm.

Infinite love & gratitude,
Kristen & Trevor and all the team at the Spray-Free Farmacy
